Pen and Ink drawings of Historic Orwell buildings for sale

This selection of pen and ink illustrations of former Village Shops and Public Houses, plus some older properties which used to face onto the village green, was prepared in 2013 by Barrington Russell

Barrington (Barry) Russell prepared these drawings at the request of our local history society, Orwell Past & Present. They are presented here in the format of a slideshow - just wait and watch and the pictures will run through on a "loop".

These drawings are now available as cards or notelets at £2 for a set of eight, or 30p each, and will be available at the Orwell Past & Present Coffee morning at Lordship Community Room on Saturday 16th November.

The slideshow contains the following drawings:

Manor Cottage

The Methodist Church

St Andrew's Church

The Butcher's Shop

The former Old English Gentleman public house

The former White Hart public house

The Harness Maker's Shop and the thatched wall

The Old Post Office

The Top Shop (formerly Huddlestone's Stores)
